Kingpin Entertainment Centre, Queenstown
Kingpin is a sophisticated new-age entertainment venue like no other, offering a multi-faceted experience to its users that includes bowling lanes, escape rooms, arcade games and more. The presentation at Kingpins Queenstown venue is truly unique: the designs are of an international flavour, yet the rustic charm and authenticity of the added Interlink beams brings an old charm accentuating its Central Otago location.
The Interlink timbers are intricately placed throughout the venue, being used for signs, fireplace surrounds, entryways and, the feature piece of the outdoor area, a magnificent free-standing pergola utilising big chunky repurposed wharf timbers.
As this project was located in Queenstown, we were able to reduce our transport carbon emissions with most of the stock already being stored in Wānaka or Ashburton. Wherever we can, our goal is to reduce freight as much as possible by keeping sourced timbers close to where they’ve been reclaimed from. For all our carbon focused projects, our carbon emissions start at zero from the moment the timber has been reclaimed.
