US Oak Sleepers
US Oak sleepers are popular due to their authentic ex-rail character and high versatility. They are suitable for a wide range of outdoor applications and are also very durable with an historic preservation treatment applied to the outer surfaces. Treatment does reduce over time with exposure to weathering and can be only partially present due to their previous rail applications. These reliable timbers are visually appealing with 235mm x 175mm faces making them appear more square than rectangular.
Product Variations:
A very authentic, robust and reliable hardwood sleeper. Square in appearance compared to the UK Oak, but of equal calibre in durability and character. Top and a side are generally square; split & worn ends possible. Ex-rail steel and boltholes possibly present. Historic preservation may be visually present. Great for continuity in shape and peace of mind in long-term outdoor functions.

Rectangular in appearance, robust and carries a high degree of long-term integrity. Historic preservation treatment typically visually present with shorter 2.6m lengths, and greater weathering and Oak colouring with longer sleepers from 3m+.
